Rev. J. M. Blake veröffentlichte 1910 einen Briefroman mit Reisebriefen einer fiktiven Frau („Marsalys Ronnell“) inklusive ihrer Zeichnungen („if to make a prettier book of it I have duplicated a few of the drawings, those who love the Lady for her sketches as much as I do will not be resentful.“ [BLAKE 1910, Vorwort]). Eventuell stammen auch die Zeichnungen von Blake. Er hatte sich jedenfalls in Brixen aufgehalten.
